Instructor

Sensei Franklyn Doras

I began karate training in 1972 with Sensei Cyril Cummins 7th Dan with whom I still train.

I took my first grading on 03.09.78 and was awarded 7th kyu by Sensie Tomita.

He is one of the many great names in Karate, with whom I have trained and graded; some of the karate greats include Sensei Kawasoe, Sensei Enoeda and Sensei Kanazawa (the list is not exhaustive).

I was a regular competitor at Club (open championships), Regional and National levels. I achieved many successes at these competitions and was fortunate to compete with, and against some of the most celebrated karate competitors; such as Sensei Ronnie Christopher 6th Dan.

As an instructor I believe that you should continue training to sustain your own development, in order to benefit your students;

it will again become cold water"
